Geselle Rufin, MBA, RDMS, RVT

Geselle is a passionate sonographer who currently specializes in general, vascular, and neurosonography. She obtained her abdomen registry in 2017, vascular registry in 2018, and pediatric registry in 2021. She was a pre-nursing student in college after high school however realized it wasn’t the job for her after volunteering in a nursing unit at a local hospital. A friend in college introduced her to sonography and after taking a radiology 101 class she learned to love ultrasound. The idea of being the doctors’ eyes while helping patients get accurately diagnosed, and have no radiation was fascinating. Her dream was always to help others in the medical field and it felt like it was meant to be.

After building her skills in lab and clinical, networking, and working her way through many places in the Las Vegas Valley, Geselle sought to use her knowledge and skills to help spread ultrasound awareness in 2020 after the pandemic took a toll on healthcare workers.

She started her YouTube channel in hopes of helping students and others learn more about the world of sonography. Since then, she has created a podcast called Sonographers in the Cities with her co-host Lynn and fostered two communities (Discord and Facebook) full of students and sonographers. Sharing tips, tricks, advice, and her love for ultrasound has been her passion ever since.

She hopes to obtain more registries, help more students, and share her stories and experiences to help others get through their daily struggles and reach their sonography dreams and goals.
