Teresa Montano joined our team as a member of the Fall, 2021 Sonography Student Scholarship Committee
My name is Teresa and I am a pediatric sonographer in Memphis, TN. I graduated in 2015 and I have done general ultrasound since graduating. I love the mystery and critical thinking that comes with every patient and I love solving a new “puzzle” every day.
I did not want to be a sonographer all of my life, but when Plan A & B fell through this is what I decided that I would pursue. I encourage all students to shadow a sonographer for a day, to really see what the day to day tasks will be, you might find out you love it or that it’s not just all babies and sunshine.

When I am not scanning kidneys, livers, colons, etc. I am working on new designs/products for my Etsy shop and photographing families.
